Kathy Jenkins, LISW-S

Behavioral Health Consultant, Ironton Campus

Kathy Jenkins is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation (LISW-S), currently serving as a Behavioral Health Consultant at the Ironton Campus. A proud lifelong resident of Scioto County, Kathy brings deep local insight and a heartfelt commitment to her work with the people of Southern Ohio.

She earned her degree in social work from Ohio University in 2019 and has since dedicated herself to providing accessible mental health care in underserved rural communities. Her professional mission is rooted in a strong personal conviction: that everyone, regardless of geographic or economic barriers, deserves access to compassionate and competent support services.

Kathy’s passion for social work stems from an early exposure to volunteerism and advocacy, instilled in her by her mother. She views empowering and advocating for others—especially vulnerable populations—as one of life’s highest callings. Her work is driven by a desire to uplift the residents of Lawrence County and challenge the misconceptions that often surround Appalachian communities.
